WHAT IS PROJECT GRACE?Sharing Grace for All"There is no exercise better for the heart
than lifting people up." (adapted) - John Holmes Project Grace SD is clear on who we are and why we're here. Giving a hand to someone who needs it is our sole reason for being. We have one goal: Make the journey better for those who need a hand. |
"When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed." - Maya Angelou
BACKGROUNDWhat We DoEveryone deserves healthy food, basic services, respect and dignity.
We support those who support others in need. Simply put, there are a number of groups making a difference by providing meals and services to those living unsheltered, or who are food insecure. We have a special affinity for groups serving our unhoused veterans. At Project Grace SD, we strive to provide financial support to groups focused on those goals. |
Project Grace SD provides funding for groups that focus support for some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community. These include people experiencing homelessness, including veterans, single men and women, couples, and families with children. We recognize the need to support diversity in age and race, as well as individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+. Many of our local retirees and students survive on limited incomes. By collaborating with other community organizations, Project Grace SD is helping combat the disease of poverty. We find the hands doing the work, then provide financial support to the extent possible. In doing so, we're empowering these groups to offer much needed nutrition/food, resources, and, just as importantly, community and hope.

We completed establishment as a full 501(c)3 status in June 2024
and officially assumed the name Project Grace SD. We have no plans but to strive for providing even more support in the coming years. We want to do even more. Check back often to see what we are doing to improve our growth and level of support and what you can do to help make a difference. |
